Cutting a Rug

I love puzzles with polyominoes (shapes made of squares). Many years ago mathematician Solomon Golomb, the man who coined (and trademarked) the term "polyominoes", wrote a polyomino puzzle for Discover that I liked very much. Ever since I've been challenged by the idea of designing a polyomino puzzle that can be played in a magazine without having to cut out the pieces. My first polyomino puzzle for Discover was Pentominoids, which ran in the August 1998 issue of Discover. Look for more polyomino puzzles in the future.
The folks who test my puzzles found several unintended alternate answers in the original version of this puzzle, so I had to change one of the rug scrap shapes. So far the feedback I've gotten is that this puzzle is okay, but a bit tedious to solve.
The name Carla Ruggles, by the way, is a play on Carl Ruggles, a 20th century American composer.
